50 Cent has announced details of a UK arena tour later this year, to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of his debut album ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. Upon release in 2003, Fiddy’s debut album sold over 800,000 copies in its first week and featured singles including ‘In Da Club’ and ’21 Questions’. It later went on to become the tenth highest-selling rap album of all time in America. Now, he’ll be celebrating the record with three special arena shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham this September. The dates are in full below, and you can buy tickets from here at 9AM.
“50 Cent simply has an incredible delivery – in his hands this party anthem is lifted into the realms of the truly spectacular, and makes the thug life finally sound like the good life once again”, our official verdict stated. Last year, Fiddy also delivered a scathing review of Jay-Z’s ‘4:44’, describing it as “golf course music”. “I listened to Jay shit, that ‘4:44’,” said Fiddy in a since-deleted Instagram post. “I thought the shit was aight. I liked the shit, but I’m gonna keep it 100 – the shit was a little … the shit was too smart. I felt like I was supposed to be wearing like glasses and shit and like a tie, a fucking sweater around my waist. It was like Ivy League shit.” He later added: “I ain’t gon’ hold you up son, that shit was like golf course music”. By Nick Reilly
