It's a pretty strong bill...
Kendrick Lamar and Patti Smith have been announced among the headliners for Finland’s Flow Festival in 2018. The Helsinki festival, which is known for combining music and culture, will host the ‘DAMN.’ rapper and songwriting icon Smith from 10-12 August. They’ll be joined by an impressive line-up that includes the likes of Grizzly Bear, St Vincent, and Bonobo. There’s also room for huge upcoming talents too, with other names on the bill including Sigrid, ALMA, and acclaimed producer Mura Masa. A three day ticket costs €195 (£171) and you can buy them here. NME previously headed to Flow Festival in 2017, and praised it for establishing an identity that is seldom seen at other festivals across Europe. “fI you can’t stand copious amounts of glitter or if the thought of the #festivalstyle hashtag makes you squirm, you’ll feel comfortable in the suitably minimalist Scandinavian fashion on rotation here. There are no vintage clothing booths or sequin stalls, just a sea of chic people dressed in black lounging on Marimekko cushions, browsing vinyl by the champagne stall”, our review claimed.
